Wow! I think whatever could have gone wrong with this shoot...DID! This family was so nice and so patient. It started with Amillya really not wanting anything to do with pictures...Then about two hours into it, my remote trigger stopped working. Tried changing batteries and nothing. At this point we hadn't gotten hardly anything. Amillya still wasn't thrilled to be there so we took a break(this was mainly just so that I could run and get another trigger) Thank heavens there is a camera store just 10 minutes away. When I came back Amillya was out cold in the bean bag. She did so good after that! Then after about another hour maybe. My light stopped working...AHHH! I was dying! I had never met this family and they drove a long way to come have me take their pictures. At this point, I am so embarrassed and frustrated. To make things worse, she is sitting exactly where we wanted her...And...her mom is a medic in the Air Force and they REALLY wanted a picture of her in her medicine bag. And that is what we were working on at that moment. For the last 30 minutes I shot with no flash and just the lights in my studio. Definitely not ideal but I wasn't sure what else to do. We finally got out of there I think around 9pm. They still had a long drive and daddy had to wake up super early(like 4am or something) Thank goodness we got some good pictures out of it...Thanks again Jen and Mitch for being so awesome! Now to the pictures.
